Busy bears

Here's the post I meant to put up about two weeks ago but got busy. A quick update on the fam: We are done with our homestudy and have been certified as foster parents, so we're now officially in the matching stage again with our agency... which means that any day now we could get another call that changes our lives forever. This time around we're looking for an African-American child ages 0-2, boy or girl. We're hopeful that the wait won't be too long and that we'll get a child who's the perfect fit for our family. But we'll just have to wait and see... here's the post I meant to put up weeks ago and the thousand pictures I need to catch up on. :)

I think it goes without saying that we've been busy lately-- thus the lack of
posting. Day to day life consumes most of our time... commuting to and from work, work itself, cooking dinner, walking Puppet, getting in quality time with Savvy and then the ritual of bedtime (read three books, sing three songs, tuck Savvy in). We've been very amused by our little bear lately. She's been singing up a storm and talking and thinking much more creatively. Unfortunately, along with her creative vocabulary comes- shall we say- some slightly less savory words. She's become a mini road-rager and is quite fond of screaming "F&#ing lady! Move!" while on the highway. We're working on that one...

We just signed Savvy up for ballet-- her first class/sport we've tried. Last night we went to Capezio after work and dropped $70 on tiny ballerina clothes. Savvy is sure to look adorable in her leather ballet slippers, her pink leotard and her little pink skirt and tights. Her first class is Saturday and I'll be sure to post pictures (because I'm sure I'll take about a thousand. :)

In other news we're getting closer and closer on the adoption front. I've got a few more papers to fill out and we have to buy a baby gate for the top of the stairs and do a few more home inspection related things, but then we're done and we're in "matching" again, which is both thrilling and a little anxiety producing. I've only got a few minutes before Savvy's bedtime so I'll leave the update at this and share some pics and videos from the past month. Ciao!
