Christmas Catch Up

We've had a great holiday season and loved getting to celebrate for the first time in our new home. I finally got my SD card to read, allowing me to upload these pictures. We celebrated an early Christmas with the Gardner family at Savvy's Auntie Cindy's house. We did a Mexican theme and loved feasting on tamales and Barbara's delicious salad. My parents came to town a few days before Christmas allowing ample time to completely spoil Savvy. We took Savvy to the zoo on Christmas Eve and my parents got us a membership there so we can enjoy the creatures year round. Savvy and I have already been back to say hi to her monkey friends and check out the reptile house. My brother came to spend the night on Christmas Eve and we woke up Christmas morning to find that Santa, Nona and Grandpa had gone completely overboard with Savvy gifts. She opened about five gifts and then decided she was done. The big hits for her this year were her Toy Story collection (Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Rex, the alien, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and Ham) and a Strawberry Shortcake toy. My favorite thing was a blanket my great grandma crocheted for me. She's in her nineties and still lives alone in South Dakota.

Have to get Savvy to bed now. She'll be starting a new preschool next Monday with her buddy Lexie and D started her new job today. Change, change, change. Hope the changes are treating you well in your neck of the woods...
