We decided to do a book advent calendar this year after I saw the idea on a blog. Savvy gets to unwrap a new book every night until Christmas Eve. I found a great supply of used books at some local thrift stores and she's liking getting to read a new book every night. Today we finished up all our Christmas shopping- YAY!- and we stopped by Toys R Us to meet Santa and Geoffrey. They also had a table where the kids could decorate their own gingerbread men. Savvy got to take a free Santa picture for the year and we ran into her pal Payton and her dad. Now we're back home and getting ready to head over to Cindy and Doreen's to babysit for them. Hope you're staying warm and toasty in your neck of the woods.

Christmas Time Calamities
Life continues to be very eventful around here. After discovering that our second bathroom upstairs has a leak that was dripping down into the downstairs toilet, we got a call from our new tenants that the heater isn't working at our old house. :( I hate watching imaginary dollars fly out of my wallet. Other than the unexpected financial issues things are great. Savvy is talking up a storm and is really developing a little personality. Yesterday we were listening to Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" in the car and she told us "It's my Grandpa Marley!" I don't think she's quite figured out that her Grandpa's name is Bob and his dog is Marley. In her mind her grandpa is a reggae legend. :)
