Mama Bear's Birthday

Today is D's birthday and we spent the day having fun and getting stuff done around the house. We went to the farmer's market downtown this morning to pick up some seasonal vegetables. We got some amazing butternut squash and tried some jujubis-- this fruit that is like a cross between apples and figs. After our browsing we stopped by a thrift store and grabbed burgers and beignets from Willie's for lunch. This morning Savvy had her first modeling gig. D's co-worker has a website that sells hair accessories and she wanted some pictures of the clips in Savvy's hair. She was good about posing and some of the pictures turned out really good. We also snapped a few pics of our wee pirate that I thought I'd throw in.

Tonight Savvy helped me bake some panda cupcakes for D. She was delighted when the time came to finally eat hers. All in all a great weekend. The packing is coming along and the countdown to moving keeps on ticking. Hope yours was a great one!
