Babies, babies everywhere

We've been celebrating the 4th with friends all weekend. Friday night we dropped by Sharon and Will's to see how big baby Cassandra is getting. Savvy geeked out over holding her and finally stopped calling Cassie her baby sister. We keep telling her she'll be getting one soon enough-- she's just got to be patient. :) Saturday we went to Cindy and Doreen's for a holiday barbeque (which was delicious). The kids got to splash around in the pools and get covered in chocolate frosting, so they were happy. Savvy even got to try some sparklers, which she thought were too cool. On the way back home we stopped near Raley Field to watch the fireworks show. Savvy liked them, but I think that she was slightly underwhelmed given the hour (10:00pm).

Today we ran a few errands, had lunch at Johnny Rocket's (where Savvy had her first milkshake) and are now settling in for our holiday plans: eating appetizers and watching movies for the rest of the night. Happy 4th-- hope your day is turning out to be as restful as ours! :)
